<![CDATA[ How to move your territory in Once Human ]]> Moving your Once Human territory is useful if you want to be near specific resources to farm or to reduce travel to any mission-critical areas. V the bird mentions moving your territory when you complete the main quest in Deadsville, letting you leave the Dayton Wetlands and head to the Broken Delta, but then doesn't really give much explanation beyond that, but it's actually a very simple process that starts with you just heading to where you want to move to. Here's how you go about moving your territory in Once Human.

Moving territory in Once Human explained

Once Human moving territory button prompt z

Now that you've headed to where you want to relocate to, you need to move your entire base and everything contained within your territory in Once Human by pressing B to open Build Mode, then pressing Z. This will begin the territory moving process and you'll see your entire territory appear as a white area with all your furniture and structures inside, including things like a garages for your Once Human motorcycle and other vehicles.

If your base structure is green, that means it's in a suitable location and you can place it by clicking. However, if your structures are red, that means you need to move to a better position – somewhere away from main roads and flatter ground is ideal. Not only will this be an eligible space for your territory but it will also give you plenty of room to expand as you'll be able to unlock more structures as you get more Memetics and find new and essential resources. If you've just got to the Broken Delta region near the start of the game, you should place your territory near some Once Human tin ore deposits to make crafting easier!

Once Human moving territory warning message

Once you've places your territory in a suitable spot, a warning message appears to let you know about a 10-minute cooldown moving cooldown that starts after you place your territory, so make sure you have it in the right place! The warning also tells you how much the move will cost in Energy Links. It also mentions that furniture and facilities will go into your Territory Terminal's Vault, letting you retrieve and redeploy them, though I found that all my facilities remained intact. Confirm the move and your base will instantly spring up in the new location.

<![CDATA[ Where to find tin ore in Once Human ]]> If want to find tin ore in Once Human, you've probably hit a crafting wall where things need Bronze Ingots, which in turn need tin to be gathered. There's no info on where to find it initially and, depending on how you tackle the world and missions, you can play for a long time before you see so much of a scrap of tin ore around. It is out there, however, and if you want to know how or where to find Once Human tin ore, let me explain everything you need to know.

Where is tin ore in Once Human?

Once Human Tin ore being smelted

The short answer to finding tin ore in Once Human is to keep playing. In much the same way as the One Human Motorbike is eventually just unlocked, tin is freely found in rock formations, much like copper, as soon as you leave the opening area of the game.

Once you've fully completed the mission 'Welcome Back' by visiting Lowe, Clair and Mary in Deadsville following the Ravenous Hunter boss fight, you'll be able access a new area, the Broken Delta region. A new mission, Murmurs in the Forest, will tell you to head to Meyer's Market and not long after you head out that way you should see big silvery tin deposits.

Once Human Tin deposit being mined

However, you won't be able to mine any tin until you've unlocked a few things, as your basic starter pickaxe isn't up to the job. Specifically, you'll need to unlock Smelting Essentials and Copper Pickaxes to mine tin in Once Human. Once you do that, you can craft a Copper Pickaxe from the following ingredients

 • Logs x 5
 • Copper Ingot x 7
 • Hide x 2

Once you have a Copper Pickaxe you'll be able to mine all the tin you can find in the Broken Delta area. Crucially, the second you so much as touch any tin with the right tool you'll unlock a Digby Boy, a strange little auto-mining creature that will gather tin for you ambiently while you do other things.

Once Human digby boy

All you need to do is build an Isolated Securement Unit, place the Digby Boy in it and wait for them to charge up. Once they're powered, they'll charge around outside your base gathering tin for you until they're depleted and need to charge again. You can speed up that loop by adding a red light, a radio for music, and some electricity to make it power up faster and collect even more tin. At this point all your tin gathering prayers should more or less be answered.

<![CDATA[ Can you play Once Human with a controller? ]]> If you want to play Once Human with a controller, you're out of luck for the time being but Starry Studio is working on implementing support. The eldritch sci-fi survival game is currently only available on PC, which means you're stuck with mouse and keyboard until proper controller support arrives, which could be reasonably soon after launch. Here's what you need to know about upcoming controller support for Once Human.

Does Once Human have controller support?

Once Human controller setting menu

No. Right now, Once Human does not support any other input devices aside from mouse and keyboard, so you can't use your Xbox, PS4, or PS5 controllers to play the game on PC. For now, connecting a controller to your PC and trying to play Once Human with it does absolutely nothing.

Confusingly, you can find settings for 'Controller Sensitivity' and 'Controller Input Settings' in the game's menus, though both are marked as being 'in development' and don't actually work. According to developer Starry Studio, the lack of controller support is due to "ongoing technical adjustments", though this feature is expected to be finished "by August".

Additionally, you can't play the game on Seam Deck right now either, in case you were looking for any way to avoid using a mouse and keyboard. That also means you won't be able to take the game on the go with Once Human cross platform until it launches on mobile devices via iOS and Android at some point (the expected release date on the App Store is September 26, 2024, though this may not be accurate). Starry Studio has explicitly mentioned that it is working on controller support only, so Steam Deck support won't arrive any time soon, if at all.

If you're playing anyway, controllers be damned, you'll want make sure you get the Once Human motorbike as soon as possible through a main mission.

<![CDATA[ How to get the Motorcycle in Once Human ]]> The Once Human Motorcycle is a useful thing to have that you'll have no idea how to get when you start playing. You'll see other players fly past on one and, obviously, want to be done with feet as soon as you know it's an option. But, until the chance to get one comes up, you'll have no idea how or when you'll unlock your own vehicle.

Where is the Once Human Motorcycle?

Once Human Motorbike mission

There's no real trick to getting a Motorcycle in Once Human, much like Once Human tin ore you just have to play until you get it. In this case that means reaching a mission labelled 'Go to Deadsville (Teleportation Recommended)'. Here you'll catch up with Mary, a character you should have already met (so if you haven't, keep playing the main story), and discover Deadsville's little hub of merchants and contract dealers.

Crucially, you'll have unlocked the motorbike by the end of this little section. You'll have to speak to Mary, a merchant called Clair, and a strange man called Lowe to unlock the next story objective, A Mayfly's Path, but at the end, Mary will just casually give you her motorcycle.

Once Human Motorbike unlocked

Once you have it, you can press G at any time to 'summon' it, place it in the world, and take off on two wheels. At this point you might want to consider heading into the Memetic screen, via your Cradle, to spend some Ciphers on things to support your new bike. Specifically, you'll find a Fuel Refinery under the Infrastructure section to keep things moving, and a Garage in the Building section for repairs and, eventually, mods.

Here's everything we know about what Once Human cross platform play entails.

<![CDATA[ How to unlock Hard Mode in The First Descendant ]]> Hard Mode in The First Descendant is a chosen world difficulty that unlocks when you've basically completed the main campaign and the various zone missions, effectively meaning that Hard Mode is a sort of endgame post-story state. It's one worth engaging with for serious players of The First Descendant though, as Hard Mode doesn't just boost the challenge involved in playing, it grants additional rewards too. If you want more details, we'll explain it below.

How to play The First Descendant in Hard Mode

(Image: © Nexon)

To reiterate, Hard Mode in The First Descendant only unlocks when you've completed all zone missions and the main quest on normal difficulty first (normal being the default and only option available prior to that point).

After fulfilling this criteria, you can switch to Hard Mode by going to the World Map and pressing Start to open the difficulty options. Then, after picking Hard Mode, Fast Travel to a new outpost to switch to that challenge rating.

Hard mode differences

The First Descendant

Hard Mode in The First Descendant obviously increases the difficulty and power of enemies you go up against, but also tends to give them modifiers that impact gameplay, dictated by region, pushing players to consider these - enemies may have a high resistance to venom, for example.

However, there are greater rewards in Hard Mode: higher quantities of resources dropped, making it ideal if you're doing The First Descendant Kuiper Shard farm, as well as introducing new, unique rewards for encounters like the Void Intercept Battles that can't be obtained on Normal difficulty.

<![CDATA[ Is Once Human cross platform and does it have cross-progression? ]]> You can use Once Human cross platform progression to play the survival game on multiple devices without losing progress, but there are some constraints to be aware of. The cosmic sci-fi shooter from Starry Studio is currently only available on PC, and not all storefront accounts are eligible for cross-progression just yet – Steam users beware! Here's what you need to know about how playing Once Human across multiple platforms works.

Does Once Human have cross-platform progression?

Once Human player standing outside overgrown facility

The simple answer is yes, Once Human does have cross-platform progression on its available platforms, which are PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Loading Bay (NetEase's proprietary launcher), and later mobile via iOS and Android – console editions for Xbox Series X, PS4, or PS5 have not been announced. You must log into Once Human with the same account across every device you play on to maintain your character progress.

Sounds simple but cross-platform play for Once Human is quite limited at the moment. The main problem is that Once Human has launched solely on PC for now, so that means you're unlikely to need cross-progression unless you're switching to a laptop or a new PC entirely. Additionally, in an FAQ article, Starry Studio mentioned that "cross-platform support is not available for some account types, such as Steam accounts, due to their inherent limitations" with no further elaboration.

However, the studio also said that more account options for cross-platform play will be added in the future but, for now, you should play on your preferred platform. This is definitely something to consider if you intend on playing Once Human on Steam, or are already playing on Steam and want to switch devices. The game will eventually launch on iOS and Android mobile devices, though an official release date does not appear to have been announced by Starry Studio – the iOS App Store expects Once Human on September 26, 2024, but this might not be accurate.

<![CDATA[ Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list for the best helpers ]]> A Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list can help you when you're working out which helper to have at your side during combat, as there's more than 20 of the little guys in total so it can be difficult to make sense of it all. As well as providing attacks or support for your team in Zenless Zone Zero, they also have additional buffs that can be triggered when paired with the right types of Agents, so combine the information here with the Zenless Zone Zero tier list to see which characters will work best with them. While this sort of ranking will always be subjective to a degree, I've taken into account as many factors as possible to bring you my tier list for the best Bangboos in Zenless Zone Zero.

The best Bangboos in Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list

In the above Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list, I've divided up these little helpers into rankings in terms of how useful I think they are when added to your team. If you want to learn more, then here are some further details about the best Bangboos in Zenless Zone Zero:

Amillion

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list - Amillion

Attribute: Physical
Rarity: S

Amillion will be the first Bangboo you encounter during your introduction to them, and they jump onto a little machine gun turret that is constantly dealing significant amounts of Physical Damage to your enemies. If you have at least two Cunning Hares Agents in your squad then Amillion's Chain Attack will increase further in damage, which can really shorten combat sequences.

Bangvolver

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list - Bangvolver

Attribute: Physical
Rarity: S

Bangvolver is armed with the Revolver of Fortune skill, which fires one of three random bullets at enemies – Powerful Firework shell dealing huge Physical Damage and significant Physical Attribute Anomaly build up, Regular Firework shell dealing Physical Damage and Physical Attribute Anomaly build up, or Paintball which just produces harmless flowers. This does introduce an element of luck, but if you combine them with at least two Physical Agents then Bangvolver's Chain Attack deals 100% Anomaly build up.

Butler

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list - Butler

Attribute: Physical
Rarity: S

Having Butler at your side will support your squad with a steady supply of energy-boosting snacks using their Tea Break skill, and if you have two or more Victoria Housekeeping Co. Agents then you'll receive 20% more energy. Butler doesn't just support though, as their Afternoon Dessert Chain Attack launches a frying pan attack on far off enemies to deal huge Physical Damage.

Plugboo

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list - Plugboo

Attribute: Electric
Rarity: S

Plugboo is best teamed up with Electric characters, as their Shock Sniper skill will fire an EM cannon at enemies which deals Electric Damage and accumulates Electric Anomaly build up. Plugboo's High-Voltage Resistance Chain Attack triggers a strong AoE Electric attack on nearby enemies, and with at least two Electric Agents in your squad this will cause 100% more Anomaly build up.

Resonaboo

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list - Resonaboo

Attribute: Ether
Rarity: S

Resonaboo is equipped with a particularly powerful Mini-Black Hole skill, which deploys an Ether black hole to draw in enemies while dealing Ether Damage and building up Ether Attribute Anomaly. Their Chain Attack is Primordial Black Hole and launches an Ether bomb at the selected enemy, dishing out huge Ether Damage and Ether Attribute Anomaly that can be increased by 100% with two or more Ether Agents on board.

Rocketboo

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list - Rocketboo

Attribute: Fire
Rarity: S

For both their Boom! skill and Ka-Boom Express Shipping Chain Attack, Rocketboo sits atop a rocket then blasts towards a target, and upon a successful impact with them will deal AoE Fire Damage and inflict Fire Anomaly build up to varying degrees. If you have at least two Fire Agents on your team, the Chain Attack will inflict 100% more Anomaly build up.

Safety

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list - Safety

Attribute: Physical
Rarity: S

Triggering Safety's Boring Burst skill causes them to charge at an enemy, and if they're hit then a drill attack is launched to deal Physical Damage, while their Demolition Drill Chain Attack will launch a multiple hit drill attack to dish out massive Physical Damage. With at least two Agents from Belobog Industries in your team, that Chain Attack does 20% more damage, and 20% more if the target is Shocked or Burning.

Sharkboo

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list - Sharkboo

Attribute: Ice
Rarity: S

Sharkboo's Drylands Shark Hunt skill and Relentless Pursuit Chain Attack both summon a trap on the target, before launching an attack that deals either regular or massive Ice Damage along with a build up of Ice Anomaly. If you have two or more Ice Agents in your squad, then Relentless Pursuit builds up 100% more Ice Anomaly to increase that effect on the target.

How to unlock new Bangboos in Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list

As with most upgrades in the game, to unlock new Bangboos in Zenless Zone Zero you'll need to activate Signal Searches to make gacha pulls. Ensure that you're performing the right type of Signal Search by selecting the Bangboo channel, as only that one will yield Bangboos as a reward, and you'll need to spend Boopon to initiate fresh searches. Note that the Bangboo channel won't be available until you unlock it during Chapter 1: Intermission.

To get more Signal Searches and increase the chance of finding new and better Bangboos, you can redeem all of the current Zenless Zone Zero codes and see if you get any Boopon from those, or investigate other routes for earning Boopon such as Hollow Zero, Bangbuck Exchange, or the New Eridu City Fund. By the time you start unlocking and using Bangboos you'll probably be too far into the story to make a Zenless Zone Zero reroll worthwhile, though that's always an option if you want to put the effort into going down that route.

<![CDATA[ Zenless Zone Zero tier list for the best Agents ]]> Having a Zenless Zone Zero tier list available can help you to decide who are the best Agents to try and pull for, and while this process will always be subjective there are certain traits we can look at to rank the characters. There are a number of things to consider when building your three-person squad in Zenless Zone Zero, from synergies between Factions and Elements to having a mix of Specializations that suit your personal play style or combining them with a helper from the Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo tier list – while not overlooking that you have to actually pull the Agents through the gacha system before you can use them! With all of that in mind, here's my tier list for Zenless Zone Zero.

Zenless Zone Zero S-tier Agents

Ellen

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Ellen

Faction: Victoria Housekeeping Co.
Element: Ice
Specialization: Attack

Ellen is the strongest Agent in the game right now, delivering powerful attacks and having great mobility by entering her special Roaming state through double-tapping or holding the dash button. She can quickly build up attack combos to output huge DPS, making her a formidable threat to any enemies you encounter in The Hollow.

Lycaon

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Lycaon

Faction: Victoria Housekeeping Co.
Element: Ice
Specialization: Stun

While Lycaon's personal DPS isn't great, they can use Charged Attacks to stun enemies without having to rely on EX or Ultimate Attacks which provides a huge combat advantage. Team them up with an Attack-focused Agent so Lycaon can stun your opponents, before the other character swaps in to hammer home some enhanced damage.

Rina

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Rina

Faction: Victoria Housekeeping Co.
Element: Electric
Specialization: Support

Rina has a unique ability of using her Bangboos to provide buffs to your squad during combat, and as a Support specialist she can boost the Penetration Ratio for your whole team which increases the amount of enemy Defense you ignore. Initiate her special attack then quickly switch to another Agent and you can attack simultaneously.

Zhu Yuan (available from July 24)

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Zhu Yuan

Faction: New Eridu Public Security
Element: Ether
Specialization: Attack

Although she's not available just yet, beta access has confirmed Zhu Yuan is another strong Attack-focused Agent who uses her guns to devastating effect – especially once you start earning Enhanced Shotshells. These deal significant Ether damage, so combine with an Ether damage buffing character such as Nicole for the greatest effect.

Zenless Zone Zero A-tier Agents

Grace

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Grace

Faction: Belobog Heavy Industries
Element: Electric
Specialization: Anomaly

Grace can be a difficult Agent to get to grips with, as you need to build up stacks of Zap while switching characters in order to get the best out of them. However, if you get the hang of it then they're a very useful addition to your squad, as enemies they've Shocked will still be taking damage even when Grace isn't currently active in the fight.

Koleda

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Koleda

Faction: Belobog Heavy Industries
Element: Fire
Specialization: Stun

Koleda is great at dealing burst Stun damage, which can be used to put enemies into a Daze state and trigger combined attacks with their squad mates. While they're strong on their own, to get the best our of Koleda's abilities you need to pair them with Ben, and this can be a limiting factor when you're trying to build a team of three.

Lucy

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Lucy

Faction: Sons of Calydon
Element: Fire
Specialization: Support

Lucy provides a unique support ability when she's part of your team, as once her Special is activated her Guard Boars will spring into action, launching onto the battlefield to automatically attack enemies. At this point you can switch to another Agent, who will not only be buffed by Lucy but the Guard Boars will continue fighting alongside them.

Nekomata

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Nekomata

Faction: Cunning Hares
Element: Physical
Specialization: Attack

Nekomata is the fastest attacking Agent currently in the game, and they can rapidly take out groups of weakened enemies thanks to their wide Area of Effect damage. While they're quick, their main DPS isn't particularly great, so you'll want to team them with a stronger attacking character to set them up for finishing opponents off.

Nicole

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Nicole

Faction: Cunning Hares
Element: Ether
Specialization: Support

Nicole is probably the strongest of the free Agents you start with, as their Special Attack forms an Ether vortex that will pull enemies together and reduce their Defense so other characters can follow up for increased damage. If you can combine Nicole with Zhu Yuan once they release, then you'll form a powerful duo with the Ether abilities.

Soldier 11

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Soldier 11

Faction: Obol Squad
Element: Fire
Specialization: Attack

Soldier 11 is a great tank character due to their solid health pool, and they are currently the only Fire element attack Agent so are capable of dealing large amounts of damage. However, their playstyle won't be to everyone's liking as you need to watch their animations and time attacks carefully to take advantage of their fire damage buffs.

Soukaku

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Soukaku

Faction: Hollow Special Operations Section 6
Element: Ice
Specialization: Support

Soukaku is a handy Support Agent, as their Attack buffs will strengthen other characters in their squad, and this is especially true of Ice-focused teams due to their additional Ice Damage buffs and Freezing ability. Soukaku's own movement and attacks are quite slow and uninspiring though, so they should be mainly used in a support capacity.

Zenless Zone Zero B-tier Agents

Anby

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Anby

Faction: Cunning Hares
Element: Electric
Specialization: Stun

Opinions are divided on Anby, but as one of the free starter Agents they are handy for putting enemies into Daze state for additional attacks and damage dealing. You need to drop their Special after the third Basic Attack hit for maximum effect which can be difficult against tougher enemies, so consider swapping them out as your team grows.

Anton

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Anton

Faction: Belobog Heavy Industries
Element: Electric
Specialization: Attack

Anton's combat capabilities can feel a little underwhelming compared to other Attack Agents as they're only A-rank rather than S-rank, and you'll need to build up critical hits in Burst mode to trigger his additional Shock damage. However, as part of an Electric team that's keeping up the Shock level on enemies they can still be a useful asset.

Piper

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Piper

Faction: Sons of Calydon
Element: Physical
Specialization: Anomaly

Piper can deliver a Charged Spinning Special that deals a large amount of damage, while still being able to move around while it's in use. After gaining 20 stacks of Power buff she increases damage for the whole squad, but that can be a long and boring process, plus their rare Faction and Specialization makes them hard to pair with others effectively.

Zenless Zone Zero C-tier Agents

Ben

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Ben

Faction: Belobog Heavy Industries
Element: Fire
Specialization: Defense

While Ben offers an incredibly solid Defense option and can shield the team with his Special, he has little to offer in terms of damage dealing and his slow movement can become a burden in combat. However, if you can team them up with Koleda they become greater than the sum of their parts, with enhanced attacks and unique animations.

Billy

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Billy

Faction: Cunning Hares
Element: Physical
Specialization: Attack

As a free starter Agent with ranged attacks, Billy is an enticing prospect to begin with as you can run around blasting multiple enemies from a distance with his twin revolvers. However, as his main attacks aren't focused and his low health and defense stats can leave him vulnerable, you should look to swap him out for a stronger character.

Corin

Zenless Zone Zero tier list Corin

Faction: Victoria Housekeeping Co.
Element: Physical
Specialization: Attack

Corin was awarded for free to players who pre-registered, and they are worth looking at if you have them available as their Special attack damage multiplier can exceed the Ultimates of many Agents. However their Basic Attack damage output is slow and low, meaning they are too reliant on Specials to be useful in most team set ups.

How to unlock new Agents in Zenless Zone Zero

Pulling a new Agent from the Zenless Zone Zero tier list

Generally, to unlock new Agents in Zenless Zone Zero you'll need to perform Signal Searches to make pulls on the gacha side of the game, then hope for the best that you get a character you want to add to your roster. However, the following Agents can be unlocked for free:

 • Anby, Billy, Nicole – unlocked at the start of the game
 • Corin – unlocked by claiming pre-registration Zenless Zone Zero rewards
 • Ben – unlocked by completing Chapter 2 and reaching Inter-Knot level 23
 • Soukaku – unlocked by completing Chapter 2, reaching Inter-Knot level 30, and clearing Shiyu Defense Stage 3

Note that you can pull the same Agent multiple times, and if that happens then you can go to the Mindscape Cinema section of their profile and awaken additional perks for them. If you want to increase the number of Signal Searches you can perform, then make sure you've redeemed all of the available Zenless Zone Zero codes so you can convert the Polychrome you receive into Master Tapes. It's also possible to perform a Zenless Zone Zero reroll if you're unhappy with the initial Agents you pull from Signal Searches, though that process has its own benefits and drawbacks.

<![CDATA[ How to use Amorphous Material in The First Descendant ]]> The First Descendant Amorphous Material is one of the most important resources in the game for researching new characters and options back in Albion, but actually working out how it works as a system is less than clear. Players will likely have some sort of Amorphous Material in their inventory after playing for a while, but if you're new to The First Descendant, you might be struggling to work out how to turn it into anything useful. If you need Amorphous Material explained, our guide will cover all the details below.

What to do with Amorphous Material in The First Descendant

If you have Amorphous Material in The First Descendant, you need to convert it into usable resources for research, done through Reconstructed Devices. The process is basically as follows:

 1. Complete missions for a chance to earn Amorphous Material as a reward.
 2. Complete other missions to access specific Reconstructed Devices.
 3. Use the Reconstructed Devices to convert/open the Amorphous Material into researchable Blueprints.
 4. Research the Blueprints back at Albion to earn new characters/weapons/rewards.

This process sounds a lot simpler than it is, especially if you have a specific research target in mind and are trying to access it as quickly as possible. The best thing we can recommend is to check the Acquisition Info and Linked Reconstruction Device info shown in the menus attached to both research targets and the Amorphous Material when you get it, as these provide your next targets.

Amorphous Material, as mentioned, requires a Reconstructed Device. Players are given access to these devices at the end of certain missions and boss fights, but Amorphous Material requires a specific kind of Reconstructed Device, depending on its pattern - not any one will do.

When you have Amorphous Material in your inventory, go into the Consumable menu and check the Material Pattern. There'll be an option to open the sub-menu "Linked Reconstructed Device Info" - from there, it'll tell you what mission or boss you need to beat to access the correct device.

These missions are usually either Void Fusion Reactors - which unlock when you break enough of The First Descendant Void Fragments - or the Void Intercepts, the major boss fights accessible through the main map screen, such as the Grave Walker and Stunning Beauty.

When you complete these missions, the Reconstructed Device (a green globe in some sort of metal brace) will appear nearby. You can interact with it and use it once to convert/open a single piece of compatible Amorphous Material. What it turns into is randomised, with different blueprints tied to different Material Patterns with different percentages of success.
